Hi. i want to put a washing machine and tumble dryer below the kitchen worktop, just above is a double socket on a 32amp ring main, can i connect to this socket for the power to the 2 appliances, and if so how should it be wired using 13 amp switched fused spares as isolators above the worktop.

I take it you don't want to plug them in above the worktop.... :D

Best bet is to extend the circuit to two sockets below the worktop and plug them in there. Don't use a 2-gang socket, as they aren't (often) rated for 2 x 13A.

As for isolators above the worktop - you don't have to have them so the question is do you want them?
