Painting outside of house

Filled in cracks but too prominent after painting.
Is it possible to take back and re stipple ?

In my experience it's very difficult to get right, you can end up making it look worse than it is now. You may be able to disguise it but then when you've over-painted, the colour might not look right.

Maybe someone else has a solution.
