Old Windows Sashes have Metal Tape instead of chain/cord

Hello. I am trying to identify the correct term for the window pulley system for windows that have metal tape that coils up instead of chains or cords. Has anyone seen this kind? The strips appear to be brass and about 3/4 inch wide and coils up into the window pulley at the top. Thanks!
