A plumbing leaked ruined 1/3 of our Harmonics brand(Costco) laminate floor. At the time of installation, the planks required a separate padding to be installed before the laminate planks. The NEW Harmonics that is compatible comes with the padding already attached to each plank. There is a height difference in the old and the new that I can overcome if I can remove the pre-attached padding from the new flooring, then use the old style padding. My question is: Can the pre-attached padding on the plank be removed reasonably easily? Thanks.
