I have a radiator that is at the top of the house. The bottom is warm but the top is cold. When I try to bleed it no air comes out when I turn the key but there must be air in there. Can you help?

Does your boiler have a feed and expansion tank in the loft ? if it has is it higher than the radiator and half full of water ? (it should be,obviously.

If you have a f&e tank and it is higher than the rad turn off the pump and try to bleed the rad, some times the air vent can be blocked with dirt.

If the f&e tank is at the same height as the rad try to bleed the rad with the pump running.

With a f&e tank the cold feed to the system could be blocked.

If you have a sealed system with no f&e tank check the pressure is high enough It takes roughly 1 Bar of pressure to to fill rads 10m above pressure gauge on the system.
