Every year around this time our house gets invaded by ladybugs, does anyone know any good ways to stop them coming back each year. We have tried moving them and other methods but they just keep coming back. any suggestions.

There is a season where they come. You can use a food grade Diatomaceous Earth and spread it to your house.
DE contains shards of sharp algae. These cut into the exoskeleton of the ladybug as the insect crosses over the DE, ultimately causing the bug to die from being unable to hold in moisture or hydration.

Camphor & Menthol are apparently very good lady bug repellents. Boric acid will also help. Just make sure to use it safely.

We got hit with butterflies down here in san antonio. All of them were heading to Mexico. It was cool to say the least. I cant remember the type of butterfly but there were a ton of them down here. Lasted for about 6 weeks.
