Moved into a newly-bought house in Mississippi built in 1992. Below-pictured device is hard wired into electrical system of house, and electric motor (pump?) in the gray, hard- plastic box on the ground is running constantly. Device doesn't look like any sump pump or radon abatement device I've ever seen. Any ideas about what it is would be greatly appreciated.
