How to fix this trim?

I recently resided my garage, I basically installed the new vinyl siding the same way the old siding was. Only problem was they did a really poor amateur job on the trim work with pieces of aluminum half-a$$ed nailed on and caulked up so I'm not sure how to redo this trim so it looks nice. It is in an area where the garage meets the breezeway and there are 2 different types of siding coming together. Any ideas?
