I'm needing to shift a load of pipes as I am about to remove the wall which these pipes run down. My problem is, I can't work out what pipes are doing what. They all come out of the hot water cylinder, (attached to a gas system boiler) but every tank I have seen has a feed and return from the boiler, and a cold feed to bottom with hot feed to domestic supply at top. The tank I am looking at has an extra pipe coming from near the top. I presume it is an extra hot water domestic feed but I was just hoping for some confirmation on this.
Could the mystery 5th pipe be anything else?
