We need to fix some kind of hoist to lift our logs up a height of 7metres as my husband finds it too hard lugging them up 36 steps and I never could.
We've looked at electrical hoists and block and tackle type hoists. Trouble is we have no convenient beam to attach either. We either need to build something or attache to the actual walls of the house! We live in Spain where buildings are not always as strong as in the UK.
An exterior person lift would be great but at £20K+ this is not an option.
We thought a simple chain hoist could be used by attaching the top hook to our railings but we are still not sure if they are strong enough.
