somebody please explain, an equipment register a power loss in watts. Is this considered as heat loss.

There is a small electrical room in a factory I am working that needs an ac unit. Except for a transformer, the rest of the distribution boards and control panels, the supplier have calculated power loss (in watts). I need to to calculate the heat loss of all the equipment to size up the ac unit required.
