For the 2nd time in 3 years some of the foundation (sand and small stone) under the block pave driveway has been washed away with overnight rain, leaving some hollow patches under some of the blocks. stand on them and they sink 5 inches into hollow gap underneath.
The driveway is at about 30% degree angle and after heavy persistent rainwater, saturated grounds, i guess it just finds a way to flow out from the lower part of the driveway.
I took the paving blocks up after the last time 3 years ago and filled in the gaps to even the ground up with similar aggregate and sand. no problems since until now.
I've attached a couple of photo's showing the problem. any advice would be appreciated, before i try to tackle again.
thanks Mark
