Just moved into a house which has downlights everywhere. We are gradually swapping over to LED but have encountered one type of fitting which has everyone stumped as to how to remove the bulb, including an electrician friend! Having given up trying to twist/turn the bulb and its surround, we eventually took the whole thing out of the ceiling to have a closer look. I've attached photos, you can see two small grooves which implies some kind of tool is needed. But without that, the bulb is stuck (we broke the glass in our efforts as you can see) Beginning to wonder if we will have to replace every unit! Surely not!!
G10 light fittings - help!
