I have an old central air furnace which heats fine, but I'd like to confirm if its behavior is expected or not. Current behavior is: thermostat on "heat," turn up thermostat...furnace lights, blower comes on and stay on for about 5 minutes, then shuts off, furnace stays lit, then shuts off. Furnace remains dormant for 8-10 munutes, then relights with blower...and same cycle continues until thermostat is turned down below room temperature. Do I have a thermostat issue?
