electric motor

Hi people!
I'm looking for a quality but affordable motor. I just want to have it in my garage and apply for different tools.
First of all I need it for the grinder. It could be also good to apply it for my air compressor.
So I need it to be adjustable...
Can you advice such a motor for general purposes.

It is within my budget. But I read a lot of negative reviews about the weg manufacturer. It is made in Brazil.
