The tiles looked as though they have dropped, is this a case of replacing the battens?

It's very strange that they've all dropped, so probably yes, Looks easy repair though, fold the lead up, remove the top layer then the bottom layer and see what's going on. second thoughts, you can just remove a few in the middle first for a nosey.
