For the dormer we have used TWO C24 (47mm x 220mm) timbers as a Lintel to cover a total span of 4.8m for the front dormer windows (with 150mm bearings either side. )
The roof designer says this is fine and has load calculations, the builder is still not so sure.
The lintel supports the dormer flat roof (warm deck), can anyone help me understand if this is ok?
