Hey guys and gals, I'm new here! I wanted to show off my new build!
I recently built this heat treating oven / kiln / furnace for heat treating my knives. Although the process could be used to build other types of furnaces of varying sizes. I've been able to get this heat treating kiln up to around 1975 F thus far.
Some Stats:
245 Volts (measured at outlet)
3372 watts
17.8 Ohm coils (2 in series)
13.76 Amps
16 gauge Kanthal coils on each wall
Chamber = 6.5'' x 5'' x 18''
Watt/ft3 = 9,962
