I recently bought an office chair from Argos which I want to return as not fit for purpose. I've taken apart the seat, arms and back but can't see how to dis-assemble the column and feet (see photo)

It seems to be stuck fast (not a screw fitting) but maybe somebody here knows a way to release it?

Can't you just reverse the assembly process? When you put that part together in the first place, how did you do it?

I did reverse the process but got stuck on the last bit (when you assemble it you do this part first). But not to worry, one of our builders managed to find a mechanism inside the column part to release it from the feet.
