Damp coming through brickwork

Hello. Hope someone can help.

I have recently painted my workshop, and there is a corner of it which suffers damp. I only rent so am not too concerned. However, I recently painted the room with emulsion and in the damp corner, faint rust-coloured marks are coming through, after only a few days.

Is there anything I can do about this? Are there heavy duty anti-damp masonry paints that might fix the problem, cosmetically at least?

If you get some PVA glue and water it down, paint that on 1st, let it dry, then paint with you normal paint and it will not come back.

dont make the mistake of trying to fix the damp internally, the damp is probably coming from outside, so ...er... go outside and inspect the exterior part of that wall. Arte there cracks? Is the render hollow? I would look externally to fix your issue. :)
