Have E4EB furnace with HP. With cold temps was looking at how/when my heat pump locks out. Study wiring of furnace controller, how does furnace controller decide to call emergency, when thermo call heat is is parallel with HP call heat, and jumpered at thermostat to emergency heat. It also seems that the electric heaters may always start with call heat, whether HP works or not.
