We have an vent duct in the ceiling of our bathroom. The contractor that we hired 18+yrs ago - glued the vent cover into the location. During a recent remodel - we tore it out. The area is fine...but I now know why he used glue...the vent cover (even the one made for a ceiling w/ screws) is not long enough to reach to the ceiling to be installed. I looked for an "oversized" surface area style vent...no luck. We will glue if we have to but would rather not.
