approx 15 Yr old Baxi 80 HE Plus combi,programmer,room stat.
Daughter bought the house last year, and this is the first winter using the Radiators.Some have TRV (6) rest are valves.(2)
Does any one know if the Baxi combi CH ciculating pump should run all the time: EG when the programmer and room stat shout for heat, The boiler fires up as it should but when it reaches its operating temp it shuts down till the water in its system cools and the boiler stat kicks it back in, However when it does shut down the CH circulating pump stops as well, sort of defeats the object, and in consequence it takes ages to get the rads up to a descent temp.
MY Bosch 26CDI. as soon as the room stat and programmer shout for heat the pump runs till the programmer switches the whole sytem off. The boiler heats and cools and the pump runs all the time on the programmer. Just thought the baxi should be the same.
On the pcb there is an auxilliary pump "live feed" but this too cuts to dead when the boiler stops.
any thoughts any one, or maybe have you the same boiler or one in the same range, the 100HE plus,133HE plus. User instructions or installation instructions are of no help.
