I'm at the stage that I need help and advice on preparation of shower floor. The floor is original to house built in 1955.No crack or settling.I have already installed a linear drain for two sided glass shower.I ,have used the mold resistant drywall and plan on using REDGARD waterproofing on sides .I wonder should I apply Redgard to concrete floor before or after thin set or both ?
I'm planning on Schluter ditra heat membranes for heated floors and I will use Schluter All-set modified thin set mortar,12"x24" porcelain tile on floor and walls, and Schluter membrane to wrap shower curb.
I wonder about the long term affects ,of water and moisture trapped in tile thin set or should it be fine?
