I'm looking at adding a bathroom to my basement and I've gotten two pretty wildly different quotes from two different contractors and I'm just looking to sanity check them.

here's a picture (the cardboard cutouts are standins for the shower, toilet and sink, toilet and sink were moved to butt up against the wall with the sewer pit)
One quote was for $8k and the other was for $13k. Both seem a little outrageous to me but I don't know a whole lot about construction. Both quotes exclude construction of the shower other than the drain so it comes down to framing a room and installing a toilet and sink plus electric.
