We have a 3.0 A/C unit, 13 SEER, that is about 4 years old. It lowers the temperature in our house by about 16-20 degrees, but the air in the house actually feels wet. We live in Florida. I checked the humidity coming out of the vents in two rooms, and it was anywhere between 79%-83% over a period of several weeks. The air temp was around 63-66 degrees. Isn't this a little high for humidity? I took apart the air handler and made sure the water was dripping out of the unit, and that the PVC pipe was not clogged, and it was ok. What should the drop in humidity be if the air humidity going in is 80-85%?
