I am replacing a flush fitted white 3 Gang 2 Way switch with a Victorian looking, but modern brass switch. However the new switch is to tight a fit, with all the wires, to sit flush.
Going deeper into the wall is not an option.
Is it safe and or possible to make a hardwood plinth - say about 10mm deep, onto which I site the new switch or will I attract possible dangers?
