Hi,
Total novice here. I have a small patio size project, and I'm using the walkmaker. I am told that I don't really need a great base as long as it is fairly level because it conforms to the surface. However, I have a whole bunch of 1" gravel/rocks left over from another project that I need to use someplace.
I have read that small pea gravel topped with crushed stone is a fairly good base for small jobs when it's tamped and leveled.
*My question: Could I use a small layer of 1" gravel topped with crushed granite stone, tamp it good and level, then lay my 2" concrete mold over it? .....or, since the 1" gravel has sharper edges than pea gravel, will it crack my mold as it's settled and walked on?
Thank you for any help
