Hi there

I have a wood burning stove, but it sits in a fairly small alcove and I think a lot of the heat is wasted.

I was wondering if anyone knows of where I can buy an electric fan to sit on top of or behind the stove to push the heat into the room. Can you make something that will cope with the heat well?

Battery or mains will be fine, but there is only about 8 inches above the stove,so cant fit anything huge?

Thanks for any comments

You can get roughly 4 inch wide PC case fans online quite cheap. It wont look great, but would do the job.

They run off 12v power though, so you would need to get a PC power supply to power them.

Would it not be a better solution to more the stove though?

You can also get a fan that is power from the heat of your stove.

It just sits on top of your stove and runs. Uses a stirling engine to power it.

Type in "Vulcan stove fan" into google
