Previous Owner(s) did a couple Reno Jobs with no consideration for the Electrical layout of certain Outlets & Junction Boxes.. We have a Smoke Detector that is Wired Directly, unfortunately it is in the Direct Air Flow of Oven & Stove Top less than 8' away.. We've Disconnected it and installed a Battery Powered S/D in the Hallway.. In it's place we installed an LED Ceiling Sensor Light.. I followed the same sequence to the wires that were Marretted into the junction box ( Black,Red, Yellow, Box was Grounded)Sensor Light has a 3 Wire Alligator Clip Box.. Sensor Light Trips as it should when you come into Range.. In the Evening Hours the S/L gives off a Constant Faint Glow and Trips On as it should when in range.. My Query is wondering if the 3 wires connected is to much ?? Help Appreciated , Cheers Thanks
