A not-brand-new-but-nice tanning bed was recently given to us. It runs 220 volts, not sure
about the amps. Could we run a commercial 220 extension cord to the dryer outlet to power this thing for an hour at a time? I am sure that a dryer draws enough amps from the outlet to suffice for a few florecent bulbs. (right?)
The splicing is easy enough, and no one wants to hear the damn dryer run while they're tanning, so I can't foresee a problem. Any suggestions, warnings or been-there/done-thats? Thanx

I don't know about your electrical problem but I hope you are not planning to tan for an hour! Not only could it be dangerous but you will look like a fresh crayfish.
Read the instructions.
Good look for the electrics
