Hi.
I have pulled up two tiles as we had a leak, in one piece! I want to stick them back down, can I just use hard as nails as it seems a waste buying a hole pot of tile cement for two tiles? I have grout

I can't imagine it would harm, I would think that it is more a case of where it will last or not. Is it in a place where it will get walked on a lot?

Yeah I would say it very much depends where they are going. I can understand you not wanting to get tile cement for the sake of 2 tiles but you you won't want the problem becoming a recurring theme. Grout or adhesive should work fine but if the tiles are going to see a lot of foot traffic be sure whatever you use will keep them in place for a long time. You also need to consider heat. If the tiles are near a radiator make sure the sealant you use is extra strong and heat resistant.
