I have noticed that sometimes my cylinder stat seems to stick. I probably need to replace it but would prefer to use something a bit better than a bi-metallic strip type which have problems with hysteresis. Does anyone know if a solid-state strp around cylinder stat exists ? Long ago I replaced my room stat with a programmable solid state Honeywell unit which is much better. I'm surprised bi-metallic is so widely used given it's pre-Victorian technology
