I have a shop vac that has a current-sensing external tool outlet that starts up the shop vac when the tool is turned on. I will be plugging in an extension cord with multiple outlets, and plugging in my table saw, router and jigsaw so that when I use any of my tools they will trigger the shop vac. I would also like to create a simple switch so that I can start up the shop vac without starting up a tool or setting it to normal mode: something I could plug into one of extension outlet slots and have it trigger the shop vac to on. Any ideas?
