Roomba 675's charging dock light goes off

My Roomba 675's charging dock light goes off when i place it on the home base and there's no green light on. I just bought this Roomba and the light flashes red and blue, it doesn't stop until I take out the battery.

I found little information from some forum, reddit and also from random website. There they said, it is normal for roomba to go off it's light. But even after keeping the roomba in the home base for about 1 hour, there is was no charge in my robot. Any suggestions please?

It would appear the base is indeed seeing the insertion of the Roomba as the lights go off. It would appear the battery has an open/short, or a bad thermistor.....any of these will cause a charger to visually go dead, or the device itself (the Roomba) to visually identify "I'm not happy with something!". I would return your machine if you can.
