restoring a Victorian fireplace

Hi

I am looking to put back together a slate Victorian fireplace in a property I am currently doing up that unfortunantly someone has tried to remove, they are clean breaks and everything is there so I am guessing some sort of adhesive will do the job but what would be best?

I would look at two pack epoxy glues, and brace behind the break with some slate floor tile offcuts if you have any.
