Reinforce bedroom floor

Hi to everyone (new to the site)

Wanted to know if and how to reinforce my spare bedroom floor so I could turn it into a training room for Kung fu (a mini dojo) so I can practice my form which consists of jump kicks and free standing bag work any advice would be much appreciative

How much weight are you going to be putting in there?

Most floors are designed to carry a considerable amount of weight (think bath full of water, or a heavy bed with two large people in it!)

I guess accurate calculations could be made if you knew details such as joist dimensions, spacing, material type, condition, existing floor covering material/thickness etc.

What did you end up doing?
