hi there

advice needed peeps

i've had a leak in the ceiling in the lounge this evening where the ceiling in the lounge meets the stairs, there is no hole in the plasterboard it just seems to have leaked on the 90 degree joint where the 2 surfaces meet, i'm currently just drying the surfaces out

i don't think its necesssary to take that section of the ceiling down, whats the best way to seal the joint

I would remove all soft plasterboard then frame out with timber to support the new board.

Bit of a late reply to your question....once board has dried out you can decide if the board is mis-shapen, sagging, soft or mouldy. If none of these just superficial repair of joints with filler, use sealant so stain doesn't come through when you repaint.
