Modifying Roof trusses

I have a building with a 12/12 roof. There is an attic in the roof framed with attic trusses. I want to raise the ceiling 2 feet by rebuilding the trusses. Can I move the floor joists (part of the trusses) up the two feet and paste it all back together with gussets. I'm guessing I will have to have additional gussetts on the rafters between the raised floor joist and the location where the rafters cross the walls. At this time I do not know if the 2x6 or 8 rafters are notched and sitting on the walls.
