Legs for my table

Hello everyone! I'm trying to find legs for a cement table that I'm trying to make. I tried to use wood, but I can't attach in attempting to use screws without looking ugly. What is the appropriate material to be used for this? And how should I go about connecting it? I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks, guys!

Do you have any photos or drawings for the sort of thing you're trying to build?

Not the final product... but it's more or less as the attached picture but looks nicer. It's a concrete slab, kinstsugi style, with a golden crack in the middle.
