I have an American NTSC vcr where the fuse blows every time I connect the power .. the fuse purchased is T1.25AL/250V .I’ve attached pics of the inside of the vcr and the step down power adaptor too .. your thoughts will be greatly helpful!

Make sure your VCR is not drawing more than approx 312W. True, the power supply shows 200W, but a 1.25amp fuse at 250volts is approx 312Watts less consumption of the pwr supply. Look at the nameplate information on the back/bottom of the VCR for its wattage.

Ok, well, it seems ok.

I did notice that the solid state board in the VCR is indicating 250vac, whereas, the label on the back of the VCR is showing 120vac!

It likely that the VCR can take an input voltage of anything below 250vac, that is, 110-250volts. When I worked overseas I learnt that.

Before spending any more time or money on this - do you know what type(s) of motor(s) the thing has?
