I Blew up my Wifi Extender :-( Don't know why ? Help

Story: I wanted to use my wifi Extender outside, by hooking it up to a Battery.

What i did? :
1ste picture my wifi Extender : 12 volt 1 AMP
2sec picture: the connector i used to hook up my battery with my wifi extender
3th picture: my original power supply of my wifi extender : 12 Volt 1 AMP
4th picture: my battery : 12 Volt 1.2 Amp

I put it al together and BAM everything blew up !

Question: what happend?
