Hi All
New here and wondered if someone may be able to help.
I've removed some foam tiles that were stuck on a wall as decoration and now want to emulsion the wall. I've sanded the wall heavily but cant remove remnants of the glue/adhesive that was used to stick the foam tiles. Apart from having the wall re-skimmed, is there a way of completely removing the glue so the wall is in good shape to emulsion ?

Many Thanks !

How much glue?

Pictures would help.

Possibly a solvent, but it depends what was used to stick them on. I'd use a hot air gun and a scraper.

Hi Doghouse Riley
Thank You for responding, I've now attached a couple of pictures. Hopefully you can see the yellowy stain which is the adhesive (the grey is the where the foam has left its mark). I've no idea what adhesive was used as I've only just moved into the house.
I'll certainly give it a go with a hot air gun and scraper.....
Cheers !
