Hi there ,

A trader built me a cabinet /display unit thing and used a circular saw to drill in some holes for cables and wires to pass through. The holes measure a precise 60mm / 80mm.

When I buy the generic 60/80mm hole covers from Amazon, their plastic bit aligns perfectly with the edge of the Drilled hole.

no amount of Vaseline or hammering will let me get them in. Do I need to get a smaller size hole cover (eg 55mm?) can’t seem to find any on Amazon…

Many thanks!

I would file the hole 1-2 mm larger in diameter. Use a round file.

See Amazon part:

Workpro W051005 Round File
or
8-Inch T12 Carbon Steel Round File
