Gluing hardboard sheets to p5 chipboard

Hey all

Just wondering how I would go about this? I have 3 sheets of 8 foot x 4 foot hardboard that needs to be fixed, smooth side down, without screws or nails to the t and g p5 chipboard flooring underneath.

Would an edge to edge pva coating be enough for this or something else? Do I need to treat or seal the chipboard first or can it go straight on ?

Any help would be much appreciated as I cant seem to find the answer here or anywhere!

You could pva but the hardboard will need to be held in position until dried.
