I have an Insinkerator, the highest "level" Home Depot sold at the time a few years ago. (bought the most expensive one hoping it would last forever!)
I was using it after T-Day dinner and at first it worked fine, then after about 30 seconds made a clacking sound so I stopped it, unplugged it, emptied it with my hands, turned it a little with a broom handle, didn't find a bone or metal or anything to explain the clacking sound, and turned it back on.
it started, clacked louder immediately, and stopped. (just hummed)
I used the allen wrench and reset button. It won't grind now, just hums, AND when I use the Allen wrench to turn the blades I hear a kind if metal on metal scraping sound at one point in the turn.
What is the next step?
Appreciate any help!
