Hi all,

We have been suffering from boiler issues for a couple of months now and was wondering if anyone had any idea.

Boiler: Glow-worm 24x Flexicom
Errors: F22 and F25 (I have checked what these mean on the manual but can't seem to relate)

So initially, it started with pump failure (presumed) and was replaced. Pump was a bit dirty inside but it had been going for around 4 years. This fixed the issue for a few months and came back - now we can't seem to get it started properly at all.

The boiler fires up, warms up and displays the water temp to around 40c before one of the errors appears.
A reset will wait a few minutes, and then re-ignite...and then the same thing will happen.

Every so often, it will just work but we're talking 20-30 resets. Having said that, when it does work, only 50% (4) radiators work and that's only from half-way up. The others are stone cold.

The pump is set to medium speed currently as british gas advised to not use it on high for now.

The pump has also been replaced 3 times in the last 3 months by BG and another company as they put it down to that initially. It was not the case. Overhead tank has water too.

When the boiler does fire up, the pump does work a bit but what is very audible is a ticking/tapping sound coming from somewhere either behind the cylinder or from the boiler. You can hear it behind the cylinder but hard to trace as boiler is downstairs in line with the cylinder upstairs.

Radiators have been bled, also there is a nut near the pump to let air out of the system - nothing came out apart from water.

BG (we have cover with them) came round last month and attempted a thermistor replacement but that did not work either.

They haven now suggested it needs a powerflush although did mention there was no magnetic areas around the pump.

Obviously at a cost of almost £800, we just need to find out if there is anything else it could be?

Thanks,
