Fixing roof plasterboard

I have a silly question but I have some builders onsite doing renovation works and they are fixing the plasterboard roof which was cut to install a beam and I'm not sure if the way they are fixing it is okay - can you please look at the attached photo and advice on whether i should be challenging them on it?
