I have a 24,000 btu ductless heat pump that is seven years old. I live in a climate with cold winters, and it is currently spring with temps approx 35 F.
I have checked for icing, and do not see icing up anywhere on the unit. I have 2 of these units installed, and only one is malfunctioning, so I have a working unit to get temperatures etc. from.
I am looking to pinpoint where my problem lies so I can make a decision of what to do with the unit.
I took temperature readings from several locations, but I will post the 2 obvious locations.
1. The Large line going to the indoor unit (pressure side?)
working unit: 114 F Faulty unit: 150 F
2. The small line coming from the indoor unit (suction side?)
working unit: 90 F Faulty unit: 55 F
any advice on where to look / go next would be appreciated.
