dishwasher leaves film on dishes

I installed a dishwasher about 6 months ago. it did a great job up until a couple months ago. it now leaves a whiteish film on the dishes.
Tried many differnet detergents all with the same result.
City supplied water.

Use a water softner with every wash. It causes due to hard water.
